I’m so weird

This just came via work e-mail:
This Wednesday, May 3rd, Patricia T. O’Conner and her husband and co-author Stewart Kellerman will visit Hackley. Pat will address the Etymology classes in the Middle and Upper School divisions, as well as some US English classes while she is here. Pat is the author of, among other works, the grammar guide “Woe Is I”, and she can be heard regularly as the “language maven” on the Leonard Lopate show on WNYC. I have placed some background information in the faculty rooms in each division, and selections from “Woe Is I” are on reserve for my Etymology students in the Library. Our Library has copies of several of Pat’s books, and you can visit their website http://www.grammarphobia.com for more tidbits about Pat and Stewart. We will have an informal “meet and greet” over lunch in the Lindsay Room from 11:35-12:15 if you have some time to come over and say hello.
How exciting is that?! And – best of all – she does signings. You just know I’m going to be a pest, don’t you?
