Almost there

Thanks to the library building construction project and another surprise project, we’re not quite ready for the year to end. But thanks to a massive push last week, we did get our summer reading recommendations out!

These recommendations are our suggestions, with little or no input from teachers. There is required reading in many classes but that isn’t something we have input into or promote. Because this year we have the addition of SORA and ebooks to our collection, it occurred to us we could actually go a little bit further with suggestions and run reading contests… and thus Beanstack was added to our toolkit.

How are we making those recommendations public? We used Library Aware to create flyers, and then gathered them all up in an Issuu booklet embedded in our summer portal. And then, well, there was this…
