100 Days and counting

In 100 days, AISL’s 2021 Conference will start – all virtual, as it was last year. However, this year it will be three days, not one, and there will be a fairly robust technology platform.

How do I know all this? Because I raised my hand to volunteer… became tri-chair… due to someone dropping out (for very valid reasons), am now co-chair*. And on the technology committee. We’re busy looking at program session proposals and creating opportunities for networking and sponsorships, just like other conference committees are. To be honest, I like the idea of hybrid going forward: if you can’t make the whole conference (can’t travel, can’t get the days off, etc.) you can still learn. And, in a small way, do that in-person networking that we all love and have missed given COVID.

There’s a post over on Knowledge Quest that talks about Why We Conference. Yes. This is why we conference. And why I was happy to participate in helping create a wonderful conference for AISL members. 100 days until we see how that turns out.
